It is generally advised that parents should immunize their children to prevent diseases. But the question is, is it an obligation or is it parents’ individual decisions?

In many suburban places and isolated islands where people do not believe in modernized medical, immunization is a new thing for parents and for those who are not well-educated about it. Immunization can be considered as a danger to their children’s lives. Places like that usually have strong and old traditional beliefs which sometimes go against their immunization itself. Moreover, it is parent’s right to decide whether they want their children to be immunized or not. In addition, although some immunizations are given for free, there are still some of which we have to pay and not every parent can afford that.
On the other hand, as far as I’m concerned children’s bodies are vulnerable for being attacked by diseases. They need the vaccination to help their immune systems work better. Prevention is better than cure. Furthermore, it is children’s human rights to have a good care of their health. As well as this, the government has been trying to socialize the free vaccinations for babies in the media. Nowadays, immunizations are cheaper, easier, and affordable.
In conclusion, it is true that parents know best about their children and they are the one who will decide the children’s future. However, taking them to hospitals and giving them immunizations perhaps one of the best ways for parents to show that they concern and care about their children’s future health.
